Yes here they are- the 3 Stooges- AKA Hypochondriacs!
Now looking at this picture do any of them look deathly ill to you?
No! They don't look deathly ill, but apparently they all thought they were. So what do I do? Well of course, being the good mama that I am- haul them down to the doctor. And the verdict comes back? Nothing is wrong with any of them. No ear infections, no strep throat, no stomach problems to speak of- just a bunch of "nambies!" as my mother and I affectionately call them.
And here we have Patient #1. He has a sore throat, a cough and sinus problems- strep? No! School? Nope- he is too hacky. It's just a "Common Cold". So we are on his SECOND day of staying school. He even missed church on Sunday! No BMX though tonight- so he better get better soon! He of course thought he was "deathly ill" and had to go to the doctor yesterday.
Patient #2- Bean
And here we have him looking VERY ILL. Yes, this was from the X-Ray of his stomach that the doctor ordered. Good grief how much did this cost me?? This child claimed he had an ear ache- doctor checked- no ear ache. Then he complained of stomach problems. Doctor checked his urine- no problems, so he ordered the stomach x-ray. No reported results= your kid is a "suck tit" and conned you in to taking him to the doctor and missing school. This child is at school today though. No more Mrs. Nice Mom
And here is Patient #3 "Tiny Dancer" Gunman. He is Mr. Grumpy Gills and has been a fus-bucket for about 3 weeks now. Took him in 3 weeks ago to the doctor- no ear infection. Took him in yesterday to the doctor with his accomplices listed above- NO EAR INFECTION! So why is the child tugging at his ears and fussy? Teething? Maybe- I don't know. But my love and patience for this child are winding down. He better snap out of it. I heard his dad changing his diaper a couple days ago and he was saying "Gunman don't kick me. Gunman we are going to change your diaper, don't flip around. HEY! You are gonna get a whoopin'- you are about old enough to start getting smacked!"
And is it any wonder my children are a handful? Here is their Grandpa Rick. He was playing "Kong" in the backyard with Barley, the lab, and he accidentally threw it into the deaf neighbors yard. (Believe me, it's a lot funnier story when you are on the phone with my mom and we are both laughing about the deaf neighbor coming home and seeing my dad on a ladder over his back fence! He's deaf not blind!)
So Rick had to get his $14 Kong back from the neighbor's yard- so he got our pool skimmer out and got up on the ladder. Notice Barley down below "helping"
And here we have V for Victory! This is Barley fetching the Kong out of the net.
This is Rooster's school picture from 1st grade this year. He is not ill in this picture.
Tiny Dancer is starting to try and stand up more and more.
So the boys were home "sick" on Sunday, so I told them to get out the Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops catalog and clip some pictures out of toys they wanted from Santa. Good grief...... They stapled pages and pages.
And here we have Rooster's school project. He had to decorate this turkey from objects at home. We did it yesterday when he stayed home with me. It turned out so cute!
Last night I came across an amazing recipe that called for Zucchini and Butternut Squash. Man was it good!! Here is the link for you. Obviously his pictures are more quality than mine, but it was good!

Look at these crazy ingredients I had to go buy! Panko bread crumbs, ricotta cheese and shallots. Never used any of them before. Maybe ricotta in a lasagna once.
So delicious!!
Wow! Dinner looked wonderful. Your children are tiny, little con men. Rooster's turkey is so clever. Kick his scrawny butt back to school tomorrow. No more shlumping around, kids. Off to school with you. And Gunnar! You are just a pill! (cute, but a pill) Can you tell I watched "You've got mail" yesterday? More twinkle lights...No change whatsoever...I'll take that pop-up book too...
